If you live in Brazil and buy condensed milk, what are you about to do? Brigadeiros, of course! For those of you who are not from Brazil, brigadeiro is a very popular sweet. Similar to toffee, the brigadeiro was named after Brazilian Brigadier, Eduardo Gomes, who in 1945 started his presidential campaign. In order to raise funds for his campaign, he captivated a group of ladies who created and started selling these sweets.
