Campos do Jordao, which is located in the North Eastern part of the Sao Paulo state, is often spoken of as a Swiss town. It is certainly true, up in the mountains, green, fresh crispy air, nice chalets, small town atmosphere, lifts between the mountains, tasty sausages, strawberries with chocolate, cheese- and meat fondue and a rather chilly evening temperature. Just perfect! Unfortunately no encounter with the Von Trapp family. We did not only eat, we also visited Gruta dos Crioulos, where the slaves hid when they escaped from the farms and we trekked up to Pico do Imbiri and enjoyed a superb view. Our good friend Geert and his sweet girlfriend joined us this European Saturday.
