Cayman spotting was certainly one of our favorite activities, while cruising in the Amazon. Freightening but still so cool. Sat in a canoe, pitch black, humid night, aimed our flashlight towards the water line, spotted red eyes, started paddling and grabbed our edgy homie. Don´t understand how I can be afraid of such a small animal but the sense of being left out in the middle of nowhere, together with creatures that eat animals like me, also added to my increased heart rate. Once back to base, we chilled with an ice cold beer.
