Contrasts

Brought my parents along to an interesting visit to "my" favela. We also paid a quick visit to the favela's medical clinic, supported by the organization Monte Azul, and greeted my amazing friend and student, Ariane, who is a doctor and volunteers in the favela a few days week. A very noble contribution.

Tomorrow my parents are returning to Sweden and therefore we treated ourselves with a lovely good bye lunch, including a glass of champagne, in Fasano Hotel. I'm truly happy and grateful that they have stayed with us and been part of my every day life in Brazil.
