My first class today was with a 5 years old girl. Amazing, only 5 years and has already a good grasp of English. Nevertheless, it also says a lot about the parents and what type of life path they are preparing for their child. Compare that to the majority of professionals, in Sao Paulo, who hardly speak a word of English and we are talking about a city of 20 millions. Today we learnt how to count in English and she is definitely not a beginner. Perhaps this little smarty pants could do the inauguration speech of the World Cup in a few months' time.
