Merry Christmas
A Merry Christmas (a bit late though) to you all. The Flying Dutchman and I just got back from six wonderful and intense day in Sweden and Holland. It was cold and dark, the way I love it, but no snow unfortunately. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year and the homes and landscapes are just beautiful and so much warmth indoors. Spending time with your family and friends, new family members that celebrate Christmas for the first time in their lives, delicious food made from old family recipes, Christmas ornaments and decorations that have followed through the years and are associated with beautiful stories. Days of peace, reflection and joy. This year was the first time that my Dutch dude and I celebrated with both families, two different countries, and therefore the stressful schedule. Yes indeed, Christmas for me is very special. Just as special as for a marathon runner to pass the finishing line.
The pictures are from my family home and from a picturesque marina where we, together with my father, picked up freshly prepared seafood delicacies for one of our Christmas dinners.
