Just a quick 24 hours lay over in our home town Sao Paulo and this evening we are off again. As the book suggested, we are going somewhere cold, for sure. The South Pole and as you know, also referred to as Antarctica. Since we did not get any snow and ice in Europe this Christmas we are making up for it by joining this incredible sailing voyage departing from Ushuaia, Argentina, tomorrow. An amazing adventure I never thought I would be part of. We will for sure witness whales, killer whales, penguins and even go for a dip in hot springs in Deception Island and much more. Not least to be able to just sail around amongst all the islands and observe the fascinating landscape. I still have problems with visualizing us arriving in Antarctica... So New Year we will celebrate on a stunning Dutch sailing ship, Oosterschelde, somewhere South of Cape Horn in Drake Passage.
